Allison and Chris married at Parkway Hills Baptist Church in Plano. It was such an honor to be there, and really so much fun! Their love for each other and the Lord is evident; I especially appreciated her grandfather’s words to them and quoting one of St Patrick’s prayers. The family connections that come out in a wedding are quite meaningful, and it’s one of my joys in documenting family histories when I photograph a wedding.
I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing the Sea Island wedding of Ivey and Justin (well, St. Simons Island too!). It had been raining for days, and then, it continued to rain more and more on the wedding day. All of us wondered…
Well then we just went with it and had an absolute ball. The ceremony was beautiful (you’ll have to take my word for it, because no photographs are permitted at a Christ Church Frederica ceremony). And the tented reception afterwards was full of joy and well, more fun and joy. Justin performed on the guitar, and all those watching/listening were in awe. Many thanks to Caroline Carter Events and Garden on the Square for their beautiful work. Most of all, thank you to Ivey and her family for the privilege of photographing your incredible wedding.

While this can’t quite qualify as a “Small Town”… I still wanted to post a few images from my late morning walk around East Austin.

So. Much. Fun. Thanks for having me down to Austin you two! Can’t wait to be at the wedding this summer.
To those who don’t know, Andrew and I go way back (or, at least 7 years, but it feels like a lifetime). He’s an awesome dude, and after spending time with them all day, I realized that Haley is about 29x more awesome.
